Biography
Amy has worked in the food service industry for 25+ years in restaurant management, hospitality, corporate culinary roles, R&D innovation/agile design, and most recently, as the Culinary Manager of an early childhood food and nutrition program. At Land O’ Lakes, Amy supports the K-12 and Foodservice teams through recipe development and testing, product innovation/trends, recipe writing and operator support.
What are you most passionate about?
One of my favorite things to do is develop recipes – especially those that make trends extremely approachable. Anticipating what operators and their students want/need is really important to me.
What is a piece of advice or insight you want to share with operators?
Operators teach us a lot – they’re on the frontlines and have direct, regular contact with their staff and students- this is invaluable! We learn the most when they’re candid about needs and challenges. This allows us to meet them where they’re at and provide thoughtful, dependable resources to their teams.
What is your favorite Land O’ Lakes product and why?
Anyone who knows me knows I love some heat on the plate! Sweet/spicy or savory spicy, it’s all good in my book. Our versatile Ultimate Jalapeno™ Cheese Sauce is the perfect ingredient to add a special kick to recipes – it won’t set your mouth on fire, but it will wake up your tastebuds to something great!
