Waldorf Grain Salad

Ingredients

  • Dressing Ingredients
  • 4 ounces | Land O Lakes® Cream Sauce Base
  • 3 tablespoons | White balsamic vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon | Kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon | Black pepper

  • Salad Ingredients
  • 4 cups | Quinoa, farro or brown basmati rice , cooked
  • 1 cup | Dried cherries
  • 1 1/2 cups | Walnuts, toasted, chopped
  • 1 cup | Celery, chopped
  • 2 cups | Apples, cored, chopped
  • 1/4 cup | Parsley, chopped

Preparation

STEP 1

Heat Cream Sauce Base to 165°F for 15 seconds using one of the methods provided on the back of package.  Cool the product to less than 41°F.

STEP 2

Whisk together dressing ingredients.

STEP 3

Mix all remaining ingredients together.  Add dressing; toss to coat.
