Roast Beef Sandwich with Chimichurri with Extra Melt® Cheese Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup | Fresh parsley leaves
  • 1/4 cup | Fresh cilantro leaves
  • 2 teaspoons | Fresh oregano leaves
  • 2 teaspoons | Fresh garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon | Fresh lime or lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon | Red wine vinegar
  • 1/4 teaspoon | Dried oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon | Red pepper flakes
  • 12 ounces (1 1/3 cups) | Land O Lakes® Extra Melt® Yellow Cheese Sauce
  • 24 ounces | Roast beef, warmed, thinly sliced
  • 8 ounces | Onions, sautéed
  • 8 (6-inch) | Hoagie buns, split

Preparation

STEP 1

Pulse all herbs, lime juice and vinegar in food processor until finely chopped.

STEP 2

Heat Extra Melt® Cheese Sauce, whisking occasionally, until melted and smooth. Stir herb mixture into cheese sauce. Heat to 165°F. Hold at 145°F-150°F unitl service.

STEP 3

Toast buns. Spread about 1 tablespoon Chimichurri sauce on cut sides of each bun. To build sandwich, layer 4 ounces roast beef and sautéed onions on botom half of bun. Top with 2 tablespoons Chimichurri sauce; cover with top half of bun.
