Curry-Style Mac And Cheese

Yield: 13 servings | Serving Size: 1 cup
Child Nutrition: 2 1/2 meat/meat alternate, 1 oz. eq. grain, 1/4 cup vegetable (other) | HACCP Process III.

Ingredients

  • 6 ounces | Red or green bell pepper strips, steamed
  • 6 ounces | Green peas, blanched
  • 2 teaspoons | Curry powder

Preparation

STEP 1

Heat macaroni and cheese in steamer to 165°F.

STEP 2

In large stock pot combine macaroni and cheese with remaining ingredients. Stir gently to combine. 

CCP: Heat to 165°F for at least 15 seconds

STEP 3

Pour mixture into steam table pan, cover and hold in food warmer until service.

CCP: Maintain hot food at 135°F or above
