Chimichurri Steak Street Tacos with Extra Melt Cheese Sauce and Cheese

  • Chimichurri Cheese Sauce Ingredients
  • 16 ounces | Land O Lakes® Extra Melt™ White Cheese Sauce
  • 1/3 cup | Fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • 1/3 cup | Fresh cilantro, finely chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon | Dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon | Fresh oregano
  • 1 tablespoon | Fresh garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon | Fresh lime juice
  • 2 teaspoons | Red wine vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon | Red pepper flakes

  • Street Taco Ingredients
  • 3 (5 inch, street size) each | Flour tortilla
  • 1/4 cup | Lettuce, shredded or leaf
  • 1 1/2 ounces | Skirt or flat-iron steak, cooked to desired doneness, sliced
  • 1/4 ounce | Land O Lakes® Extra Melt® Process American Cheese with Jalapeños shredded

Preparation

STEP 1

Heat Extra Melt Cheese Sauce via one of the methods located on the pouch.

STEP 2

In medium saucepan, add cheese sauce and remaining chimichurri sauce ingredients.  Whisk to combine.  Heat to 165°F.  Hold warm.

STEP 3

To prepare tacos, place lettuce in each tortilla.  Top each with 1 1/2 ounces steak slices and cheese shreds.

STEP 4

Drizzle chimichurri sauce over taco or serve sauce on side.
