Egg Salad with Butter Sauce Base

Ingredients

  • 1 pound | Eggs, hard boiled, chopped
  • 3 ounces (6 tablespoons) | Land O Lakes® Butter Sauce Base
  • 1 1/2 ounces | Roasted red peppers, chopped
  • 1 1/2 ounces | Celery, chopped
  • 1 1/2 ounces | Green onions, chopped
  • 14 slices | Baguette
  • 3 tablespoons | LAND O LAKES® Butter, melted
  • 14 each | Lettuce leaves

Preparation

STEP 1

Heat LAND O LAKES® Butter Sauce Base to 165°F for 15 seconds using one of the methods provided on the back of package.  Cool the product to less than 41°F.

STEP 2

Combine hard boiled eggs, Butter Sauce Base, red peppers, celery and green onions.

STEP 3

Brush baguette slices with melted butter. Grill, griddle, broil or toast. Top each slice of bread with a lettuce leaf and 1/4 cup egg salad.
