Cheese Sauce with Extra Melt American Cheese and White Wine

Ingredients

  • 6 ounces | Land O Lakes® Unsalted Butter
  • 3 each | White onions, julienned
  • 2 tablespoons | Fresh garlic, finely chopped
  • 5 bunches (5 cups) | Green onions, Sliced

Preparation

STEP 1

Melt butter in large pan until sizzling, add white onions, garlic and green onions. Sauté over medium-high heat 5 minutes.

STEP 2

Add wine, continue cooking until liquid is reduced by half.

STEP 3

Reduce heat to low, add Extra Melt Cheese. Cook, stirring occasionally, until cheese is melted.

STEP 4

Whisk in chicken broth until thoroughly mixed. Continue cooking until heated through and temperature reaches 160°F.

STEP 5

Serve over baked potatoes, chicken, steak, hamburger steak, chips or tortillas.
