Chef Michael Terry has been in the foodservice sector throughout his entire career. Starting as a dishwasher in a family-owned Italian restaurant at age 13, his last job in operations was as General Manager and Executive Chef for NFL coach Jimmy Johnson’s Three Ring’s Bar and Grill in Oklahoma City, OK. He then spent five years working for a foodservice broker followed by 16 years as the Director of Culinary for an Oklahoma-based manufacturer. Chef Michael has been with Land O’ Lakes since November 2018.
What are you most passionate about?
My passion lies in working with operators from all sectors and helping them to develop new, on-trend and profitable items for their menus.
What is a piece of advice or insight you want to share with operators?
I look forward to helping operators understand the many uses of Land O Lakes® products now that labor is less skilled, menus have contracted, and restaurants are looking to do more with fewer products.
What is your favorite Land O Lakes® product and why?
My favorite products are our Extra Melt® American Cheese loaves (we have three varieties!) because of their versatility. It makes them a great fit for most foodservice operations!
